Glenbrooke is located in the Boonsboro area of Bedford County Virginia, within
sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Glenbrooke offers a beautiful pastoral
setting with all the amenities and conveniences of city living.
The development is the Lynchburg area's only "age-qualified community" to offer
a full range of housing options and amenities for persons age 55 and better. It
is carefully designed to appeal to those who are beginning to look toward
retirement and those already retired who pursue an active lifestyle.
Low maintenance lifestyle
Glenbrooke includes such amenities as a clubhouse with
fitness center, swimming pool and "Bed & Breakfast" rooms for your guests.
Exercise classes are also offered.
Glenbrooke's homeowners association will provide lawn maintenance, snow removal,
trash removal and other services to assure a low maintenance lifestyle for
residents.
The community provides the security of a single controlled entrance, streetlights, plus sidewalks, curb and gutter and underground
utilities. Shopping, healthcare, recreation and cultural attractions are just
minutes away.
A true sense of community
Glenbrooke was designed by Lee Driskill, A.I.A., an
architect with the Baltimore, Maryland firm of Hord Coplan Macht, an
award-winning community planner and designer of adult living communities and
healthcare facilities.
While Glenbrooke offers the latest in construction technology and convenience,
the master plan is inspired by such 19th Century architects as Frederick Law
Olmsted. This approach enabled us to promote a true sense of community while
assuring harmony with the natural surroundings.
Olmsted, considered the founder of American landscape architecture, designed
such major projects as Biltmore Estate in Asheville, the Druid Hills
neighborhood in Atlanta and Central Park in New York.
A variety of Home designs
Glenbrooke's attached homes are individually designed and decorated.
The single homes are based on designs from the Southern Living® Design
Collection. All homes have garages and are on a single level, with options
for basements.
Exterior construction features brick, stone and other low-maintenance
treatments.
All house plans are reviewed by the developer to assure that they conform
to the community's quality and aesthetic standards.
Attached homes start at $235,000 and individual homes start at $300,000.
